Houston is letting it be known that Hunter Pence can be had. He would look great in an Atlanta uniform.

The thing is I could never find the post where you said that. You didn`t delete it did you? If the Bravos fall another 5.5 games behind in 10 days then they don`t deserve to be in the playoffs. The team has definetly been more fun to watch this year and I`m sure the next 2 weeks won`t be any different.

Nope, looked for it as well. Braves have the misfortune in playing in same division as Phils. Otherwise they'd be up or at least tied for the lead. Only team that can stand up with both the Phils and Braves IMO is the Brewers as they have both pitching and hitting.

Nice weekend. Phils take three in a row and Braves drop 2 of 3. Payback is probably coming as the Phils hope to close out the Pads and then 3 verses the Giants while 1st place Pittsburgh (Sounds weird huh?) comes to town in Atlanta. I'm sure the Phillies want some payback from the Giants from last fall.

That ballpark is a joke. It's a freakin softball park with extra seats. Cheap Home runs. The alley in right center is 370...3... freakin... 70 !!!

BJ Uptons name thrown out there as well for the Braves, Rangers and Phillies to fight for. Would MUCH rather have him over Beltran
    From Insider:

UPDATE: Upton, who has drawn interest from the Giants as an alternative to Beltran and the Nationals,w ho covet a centerfielder, has also caught the eye of the Phillies, tweets Jen Royle. Upton may have to slide over left field if that deal is made this summer, as Shane Victorino handles center, and does it well.

    ...

There was plenty of speculation regarding a potential Tampa Bay blockbuster when B.J. Upton was removed from Friday's with no obvious injury at play, and outfield prospect Desmond Jennings was a late scratch down at Triple-A.

Upton remains a Ray, at least for now, but a new era is under way with the decision to recall Jennings from Triple-A Durham after Friday night's loss to the Royals and demote shortstop Reid Brignac to Durham.

The promotion of Jennings immediately accelerates the trade rumors regarding Upton, who will be coveted by several teams in need of an impact bat. We mentioned that some of the teams believed to be looking at Carlos Beltran could inquire about Upton, and that appears to be the case with the Giants and Indians, Ken Rosenthal reported Sunday night.

Rosenthal adds that the Braves, Phillies and Rangers also could target Upton as an alternative. Upton is seven years younger Beltran and is under club control through 2012.

Meanwhile, Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post reports the Nationals continue to have interest in acquiring Upton and sent a scout to watch during the Rays' series against the Yankees last week.

There is one major road block: Upton will become a free agent after the 2012 season, and Kilgore says the Nationals would like more of a long-term solution to their needs in center field.

    Jennings

I would rather NOT get Carlos Beltran. If Atlanta lands a bad I would much rather give up more and get Hunter Pence.

It don`t matter, as soon as they land in Atlanta they forget how to hit.
