Conrad benched for game tonight and Heyward is not a sure thing.

    From ESPN Insider:
After crashing into the right-field wall and staying down for several minutes, it is not known whether rookie star Jason Heyward will play in Game 4, reports Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com.

Heyward said he had a tough time keeping his eyes open the rest of the game Sunday and that he is still sore. He is to be evaluated before the club makes any decision on whether or not he will play Monday.

If Heyward cannot go, Matt Diaz figures to get the nod over lefties Nate McLouth and Eric Hinske with Giants left-hander Madison Bumgarner on the mound -- assuming Melky Cabrera gets the nod in left.

Diaz, Cabrera, Rick Ankiel or Alex Gonzalez could be moved into Heyward's spot in the batting order behind leadoff hitter Omar Infante.

    3-2 final Giants.

It was a great season for the Braves. It's too bad the team's injuries came at the end of the season. Would have been nice to see how they would have done with Jones, Prado etc in the lineup.

Ironically, they actually got some hits in the last game, but their defense let them down this series.

we all knew this was coming.

you could see the wheels wobbling from mid august, up until the end last night. i seriously did not think they'd make it in. injuries to chipper, glaus, prado, and finally wagner, left everyone else pressing. i cant be bitter for long. i was glad to see them play some damn good ball this year and make it back to the post season. seems like most of the fans regained some appreciation along the way.

see ya later bobby. thanks for the ride.

That was a really class act by the Giants to stop their celebration and recognize Cox.
