It's a great deal for Atlanta. Lee is a good 1b and if healthy will be a big bat in the middle of the lineup. It could pay dividends later too. Lee, I think is due to be a Free Agent after the season. If he don't sign with the Braves, they get a compensation pick in next year's draft.

Braves trade for Lee and Glaus goes on DL. Damned the coincidence. :D You think you guys could shake a little bit of that luck you guys are holding onto? My Phils are getting healthy but can't make up any ground on you

    Phils are getting healthy:

Just my opinion, but I think the Phils are going to blow past the Braves the last month of the season. Braves will probadly end up the wildcard.

Hope so. My Phillies have cut the lead while Victorino, Utley and Howard being out. Now Victorino and Utley are back and Howard is going to be back this weekend. The Phillies top three pictures are as good of a trio as any team but the bullpen (Fucking Lidge) scare the hell out of me. It's been fun to see Hudson have such a great season. He was one of my favorites way back when he was an Athletic. You guys stole him from Oakland (Mike Thomas and someone else?)

You've got to hand it to Atlanta. They haven't lost 2 in a row since the last week of July. They haven't given Philly an opening yet. Regardless, the 4 hot teams right now in the NL are the Phillies, Padres, Braves, and Reds. Unless something changes, those will be your playoff teams.

Had to look up that heist:
Before the 2005 season, Hudson was traded to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for Charles Thomas, Dan Meyer and Juan Cruz. On August 6, 2005, Hudson won his 100th career game, defeating the St. Louis Cardinals 8-1.

Those three got a soft drink and a slice of pizza in the majors before being sent to Japan for a pair of piss stained jock straps
