The two prospects look like a win here. Gonzalez isn't too shabby either.

So much for my "Braves not doing much before the deadline" theory. I'm not shocked that they have at last traded Escobar. He has been in and out of the Bobby Cox Doghouse several times. Gonzales is having a career season at the plate and from what is being reported the prospects coming to Atlanta have some value. Not sad to see JoJo go, he has never been able to get it done at the Major League level.

Tough loss today against the Fish. Nate Mclouth is clueless at the present. He hit into a double play with the bases loaded and 1 out in the 10th. If he could have delivered, it might have turned his season around but.... NOT !!!

Phillies picked up two games this weekend, Finally found out what they are supposed to do with their bats. Happ and Kendrick picked up wins and Halladay is just Doc. If they are going to a make a move then trade Werth or Ibanez for a middle reliever and/or prospects

Big weekend coming up: Atlanta @ Cincinnati

Atlanta is leading the east by 4, but Phillys expected to make a run, and my Reds are trying to stay with the Cards. Being a Reds fan I'm used to the Reds collapsing every year after the All-Star break. So far, the team has kept it together.

He'll have to turn it around in triple A now. What a let down he has been.

Big win Friday night over the Reds but Prado out 7-10 days at least with a fractured knuckle. Trade deadline in one hour, so far the Braves have not made a move but they are talking to a few teams about a bat.

Braves made some interesting moves at the deadline. The addition of Ankiel and Farnsworth is not major but Ankiel could help them a bit down the stretch. Gregor Blanco played very well this year when he got a chance to play but he was never going to be a full time starter in Atlanta, I hope he gets that chance in Kansas City. Chavez could blossom there too.

gotta get the bats going again. losing 2-1 and 3-0 isnt going to hold off the phillies. we are better than that.
