Jim Johnson is not a closer. He doesn`t have the balls of a closer. Blown save number 8 on the year for Jimmy.
    Jimmy, you still suck.

    "
After blowing a 4-3 lead in the seventh, the Mariners rallied against Jim Johnson (6-3) in the eighth. Motter's single to center field drove in Jean Segura, who doubled, and Yonder Alonso, who walked.

David Phelps (4-5, 2-1 AL) recorded two outs in the seventh after coming off the disabled list. Edwin Diaz recorded the final four outs -- including three strikeouts in the ninth -- for his 29th save in 33 chances.

Johnson allowed four runs without recording an out. He was booed when leaving the game."

I`ve been booing Johnson from the safe confines of TBR for some time now.
I think he has 22 saves and now 9 blown.
    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

Got to give the young ones a chance. Not say they are going to be like them, but Glavine's first year 7 - 17 with 4.56 ERA
    Smoltz's first year 2-7 with 5.48 ERA.
    Not exactly HOF numbers.

So Swanson ends the season batting 232 and thats with getting 2 hits in today`s final game.
Its the 20 damn errors that worry me the most and I`ve seen him miss many other opportunuties that could have beeen called errors.
Looks like they won`t be having any 40 year pitchers coming to 2018 spring training.
Albies is a mucho pleasant suprise and looks like 2nd base is his for quite a few years.
Carmargo should be an every game player at some position.
    Kemp needs to retire.
I wish Matt Adams was better in the outfield, they could really use his bat.
Not a great year, but not so shitty either.

    WTG John!

"John Coppolella has resigned as general manager of the Atlanta Braves, the club announced on Monday.

His resignation comes on the heels of Major League Baseball investigating the Braves for a breach of rules regarding the international player market.

“Major League Baseball is investigating the matter with our full cooperation and support,” said John Hart, Braves president of baseball operations, in a written statement. “We will not be issuing any further comment until the investigation is complete.”

    See ya Jim.

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Los Angeles Angels have acquired pitcher Jim Johnson and the Atlanta Braves' remaining $1.21 million in international bonus signing allocation for minor league left-hander Justin Kelly, it was announced Thursday.

At least they got something for him. Me, I thought he was worth a bag of old baseballs.
