    How bad is it when BJ Upton is still in the lineup? A .209 season average and a below average center fielder, yet there he is in the #8 spot with his I still can`t see the ball open stance. Taking a grand total of 6 pitches in 3 at bats.
    Dude, do they all look good enough to swing at? He took one swing on an inside pitch that he missed by a foot. He can`t possibly be seeing the pitches.
    I can`t see anything he does really well, but I see quite a few where he is hurting his team.

    No way for the Bravos to make up ground if the Nationals never lose.
    They`ve won 10 in a row with 5 straight walk-off wins.
    Atlanta has won 7 out of their last 10 and lost ground.

    Come on Washington, just get a loss every now and then.:cuss:

    the braves had scored 1 run in 4 games before today`s 7 run barrage. too little too late.

    After being swept this weekend for a 2-7 trip, the Braves were four games behind Pittsburgh for the National League's second wild card with 13 games left in the regular season. They are headed back to Atlanta for a 10-game homestand.
    "It happens. In April or May, you're not too worried about it," manager Fredi Gonzalez said of the Braves' slump. "The second week of September, games are running out and you start to worry about it. It's not a real good feeling. We're putting ourselves up against a wall."

    Shutout again and now no real chance for even a wildcard.
    Started off the season with bad luck and teased fans throughout
    the year with some wins, but losing 2 starters and a key bullpen piece didn`t stop the no hitting train at the end of the year.
    Getting rid of decent pinch hitters didn`t help.
    Too many strikeouts and over aggressive at bats.
    It looked as if the hitters saw beach balls coming, but got golf balls
    as they swung at anything near the plate.
    I don`t think I`ve seen as many swings at pitches in the dirt as I`ve seen this season.
