You can tell Beachy is still in the post surgery feeling things out stage.
The Bravos are playing like they remember the collapse of a couple of years ago.
    Paranoia is a real bitch.

Braves second baseman Dan Uggla has struggled with vision problems for much of this season and he’s finally decided to undergo Lasik eye surgery.

He’s headed to the disabled list and to replace Uggla on the roster Atlanta recalled Tyler Pastornicky from Triple-A, where he was hitting .292 with four homers and a .747 OPS in 74 games. Pastornicky saw extensive action for the Braves last year and got into 18 games for them earlier this season.

Uggla has hit .186 with a league-high 146 strikeouts, including a .133 batting average and 30 strikeouts in 24 games since the All-Star break. Lasik surgery tends to involve an almost immediate recovery, although Uggla’s job requires more from his eyes than most. Presumably he’ll be back in the minimum 15 days. Mark Bowman of MLB.com writes that the Braves wanted Uggla to have the surgery back in spring training.

Fucker should have had it done 2 years ago.

    Good call.

And I really don't think Lasik will mean anything for Uggla. He was always going to be this player, which is what I said immediately after the Braves got him and gave him that incredibly stupid extension.

Somebody needs to be shot for the BJ Upton deal.
Come on dude, at least give the Braves a .250 average!

What if Atlanta hadn't traded Adam Wainwright, Elvis Andrus, Saltalamacchia, and Neftali Feliz?

ATLANTA -- Only days after being told he would be the Braves' starting second baseman for at least two weeks, Tyler Pastornicky's season has ended.

The Braves announced Friday that Pastornicky will have surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. Pastornicky injured the knee in a collision with right fielder Jason Heyward on Wednesday night, one day after Atlanta placed second baseman Dan Uggla on the 15-day disabled list so he can have corrective eye surgery.

The Bravos get beat in the 15th and Justin Upton strikes out 5 times in the game. Thats got to be a record.
