Giles needs to sit the bench. He absolutely SUCKS. They are going to use Betemit as trade bait for pitching probably which really sucks because he is real popular down here in Georgia, and everyone who follows the Braves loves him. Only people who like Giles are 16 year old girls. If the Braves win tonight they take 2 of 3 from the Phillies, which would be big going into the homestand and going 7-2 on the road trip to start out the season. Wickman looked good last night as well.

Braves win again, and Wickman looked good again, and I agree Giles is AWFULL he needs to sit and Betemit should play even Orr over Giles!

All the talk of trading Betemit is making me sick. If you are going to move somebody, make it Giles. The play he made last night to make the 2nd out in the 9th was sick. The Braves are 11.5 out going in today. Could you imagine if the Mets lead is down to single digits when they get together this weekend with still 9 games to play vs each other. Maybe a little pucker factor.

    GO BRAVES!

its probably the best thing for him. now he may get a chance to play every day. but for us, it does stink. we hang on to guys like giles and an obviously aging chipper and deal a kid like Betemit away. meanwhile, our hot streak has skidded to a halt in the late july heat.
