There is zero question that Teixeira will get more money per season, and a ton more over the life of the contract. Honestly I'm surprised that you are so absolutely clueless, but your Bronson Arroyo embarrassment should have clued you in about the need to read and check some facts before you make bold assertions. It's one thing to speculate and quite another to say something ludicrous because you don't know any better, and yet don't want to believe that you don't know enough to comment.

Oh, and by the way, there is almost no chance of Teixeira signing an extension with Atlanta. He has no intention of giving a discount, as he'd rather play in his hometown of Baltimore anyway and the Orioles will break the bank for him. I think $20 million a year is actually a little on the conservative side, as he could end up closer to $25. Meanwhile Hunter would be lucky to crack $15 million a year.

braves blow 9-5 lead. friggin soriano gives up a slam in relief. instead of closing in on the mets they seem to be slipping. cant afford to lose these kind of games. just cant.

dont i know it. i got this bad feeling when edgar lets that one eat him up, twisting his ankle in the process and then limps off the field. then chipper goes to short? harris to third? and he boots the next one. enter a pinch hit grand slam and im up outta my chair. the dogs leave the room. i stomp off to bed. glad i didnt see the rest after the bomb. i love 'em and i hate 'em.

Early in the season I thought the Braves had solved their bullpen problems. Wickman was getting it done, Soriano was lights out, and Gonzalez looked good. Now Wickman gives me heartburn, Soriano throws gas on the flame, and Gonzalez is lost for the year. This team is diving me to drink.

 

Texeira is also a great first baseman. Gold Glove worthy.
