Atlanta's hitting is pretty good. Better than last years. Anyone else see the similarities between Brian Jordan and Jerry Johnson from Little Big League? God he is awful. That Diaz guy looks pretty good and Giles is hitting fantastic, and yes, the Orioles are kickin ass and leading the AL East

 

Doesn't every team need more talent among their relievers?

I don't remember the Braves offering Farnsworth 5 1/2 million. He throws a fastball with little movement and has control problems. The Braves aren't the first team to let him go. He is good to have on your side during a fight.

 

i watched the bottom of th second from my bed. the braves tied it up, went on to win 9-8, i may need to watch all of them while laying down. maybe the pitching will come around. starter ramirez pulled up lame while running out a bunt in the bottom of the second. looked like a hammy.

 

Schuerholz made public comments about how the Braves essentially offered the same contract as New York, and that he was surprised that Farnsworth didn't accept the closer role with Atlanta given that he's from Georgia. As for the other part, he has plenty of movement but has had control problems.

If they offered that much it was after the Yankees did so. I think another team actually offered him more money than the Yankees and he didn't even consider it.

Fuck him, he blew the playoff game against the Astros. Right now the Braves starters are sucking.

 

Braves starters sucking, and the bullpen is doing well...who would've thought of that one

 

2 of their 4 early losses have come as a direct result of the bull pen blowing late inning leads. yesterday it was reitsma giving up a solo homer to the giants in the top of the ninth that tied the game at 5. later in the same inning the giants won it on a bloop single, not sure if it was reitsma pitching or not. but as of right now, this team appears to have made no improvements to their pitching staff and it shows.

 

The Braves 10 games into the season have not gotten a win from their starters
