atkins is a decent diet to sit on your ass and still lose weight but any diet is obviously enhanced by burning calories in mass amounts. If it helps, tell the spouse you burn a lot of calories in lovemaking sessions of 30 minutes or more.

Larry, no fucking way you need to lose 30 lbs. Last time I saw you (a month ago) you looked fit as a fiddle. A shirt can cover up some gut, and height can also, but you're not that tall. I can't believe you would need to lose more than 15 lbs, and I couldn't see you needed to lose anything. Just cut out the one thing that's your weakness that's fattening (in my case soft drinks) and you should be fine. You have to make a little time for exercise though. The older you get, the harder it is to keep the weight off without supplementing diet with exercise.

I think all fad diets are bullshit. Again this is my opinion, but backed up by the powers-that-be in the health Nazi administration.

Low fluffy carbs, high nasty carbs, (carrots, broccoli, green beans)
no potatoes or rice or chips or anything that tastes good.

Lean protein: Grilled chicken breasts.....pretty much everything else is off limits.

But the number one factor, above all else, is regular strenuous aerobic exercise. Not this wimpy 30 minutes per day shit, but more like 90. Break it up into swimming and biking and walking and jogging and fucking and whatever.

You will never succeed in any diet/health plan without altering your physical fitness regime on a permanent basis.

I didn't cheat either Star...even when I got wicked sugar cravings. I was so pissed when it didn't work after a week - totally! It bites when that happens :mercy:

  5. The worst sugar cravings happen right after a nap....I had been on it about a week when I awakened on a Sunday afternoon and found myself sucking from the hershey chocolate syrup bottle in a sleep induced haze.

I found the best way to feel good on this diet and still lose weight is to eat a limited amount of good carbs a day..meaning grains or wheat rather than refined stuff.....and drink as much water as you can. I tried not to over do the high fat stuff, just more high protein...I just tried to concentrate on eating more good stuff instead of not eating bad stuff. It worked for me 35 lbs ago, and it's been a year and a half. I still have a ways to go but I'm being lazy...good luck!

no he doesn't tell you that, but he does stress that discipline and commitment are hard to muster on this. It does however work, everytime it is done.

Bottom line is to eat small meals per day and workout 6 days a week, M, W, F, weights, T, Th, Sa, cardio. This always and you know it.

I can tell you that after two days of this, you do start to miss certain things. For me, it's certain drinks. Today I had to go into the fridge and get something for my daughter. There sat a tall box of OJ. I have never wanted OJ so bad in my life, but I resisted. Weird.

  8. yeah, those six small meals a day...he wants you to take EAS myoplex....the cheapest MRP is a glass of milk...nutritionally similar too. He's a scammer....and you don't realize it.

Figure that, work out six days per week and eat carefully...what a revalation:rolleyes:
