    ASU and Richmond will square off at "The Rock" in Boone NC on either Friday or Saturday next weekend. At stake....a chance to go to Chattanooga TN for a chance to play in the NCAA FCS National Championship.

    Why do they call it the rock? every time someone says "the rock" i think of Southern Miss.

    Well, well, well. Just read on goasu.com that the Richmond /ASU game have been moved to Friday night @ 8:00 pm

    I went there and associate with people who are from there and live there. I've never heard it called "the rock" other than here.

    but why is it called the rock? is the field on top of a big rock or something?

    I don't know. I've never heard it called that. It's always just been Kid Brewer to me. I do know a Brewer though.
