    i was at the game... the cop started after the player but was held back by other cops... then after the game the player found him and apologized and got a hug... there was no asu coach holding the cop back... he wasnt even angry after the game when the player apologized... its not coach moores fault that they didnt have enough event staff to keep fans off the field... i sat back and watched the whole thing... they didnt even try to stop them from coming down to field level.... if they didnt want them to come onto the field... then im wondering why they didnt even have a fence at the hill... the app fans were a bunch of drunk college students... just like delewares... if deleware comes out on top you see the same exact thing... there were deleware fans on the field after the game picking fights... asu's fan base is the best in 1AA... kinda hard to present an arguement against the two biggest crowds in the history of championship games in the last 2 years with a 7 to 1 fan ratio to app. Dont judge all of app st on a couple of drunk college students being on the field 3 minutes earlier... coach moore is one of the classiest coaches in the world and the nicest guy but it isnt his responsibility to worry about every single student on the field before the game ends.... he has to worry about the offense the defense and his own players class which he handles very well and in this case he also had to worry about the gatorade being poured all over him... of course the fans were excited did you expect just because they had won 3 championships in a row to sit back and drink less and be less crazy... if that was true duke and carolina basketball would be the dullest place in america... but just wanted to clear some things up from my perspective... Armanti for Heisman next year

    I don't think anyone is blaming Moore. We're blaming ASU's idiot fanbase.
    No, you wouldn't. Have you ever seen any school behave like that before? I can't recall any team's fans completely filling the sidelines with 4 minutes to go, some running onto the field with drinks in their hands, and others shoving their way into the players area just to try and get on television.
    Saying there were only "a couple" makes you look like one of those drunken idiots. The sidelines were filled with ASU fans all the way around the field, which means there must have been several thousand.
    I expected them not to make asses of themselves. Until the Delaware player took the heat off of them with his shenanigans, everyone on television was talking about what classless losers ASU fans are. They acted like a bunch of morons, which is unfortunate for the coaches and players since they did nothing to deserve being embarrassed by their own fanbase.

    i agree they acted like idiots i never said they didnt... but i dont agree with you saying you expected a bunch of drunk students to act with class? why would you expect anything from drunk college students... are you trying to say you expect good judgement out of drunk college students... that doesnt make much sense... just like it wouldnt make much sense for moore to grab an officials microphone to get the students off the field... they wouldnt listen to him... they are drunk... and i have never seen any school act like that simply because no school has had that many fans at the national championship game or ever threepeated in our division and how could they act like classless losers if they didnt lose? and how could you say they were embarassed by their own fan base... there was 23000 people there... and over 3/4s was app fans... i would say if you asked coach moore how his fan support was he would say pretty amazing considering app sold their 10000 tickets out within a total of about 10 hours when a bunch had already bought from chats ticket office when the playoffs began

    That depends upon how you define the best fan base. I would say they don't even have the best fan base in their own conference. Georgia Southern has the biggest and best fan base in the So Con, and I say that as someone who absolutely hates Georgia Southern.

    Edit: A big congratulations to App. State! You showed the strength of the So Con, clobbering the CAA representative. It really makes you wonder about the record 5 CAA teams in the playoffs this year.

    Never seen them along the sideline like that....But I have seen throngs of fans storm the field and act like retards after they've won a big game with alcohol trying to get on TV. So what's your point? They won the National Championship, they're celebrating - they've earned that opportunity because their team won the championship game.

    If you were at your team's big game or national title game, you might be inclined to act the same way.

    Choke on it, moron. :41::41::41:

    Again, App fans are the only ones I've ever seen pour onto the sidelines minutes before the game was even over. It was an embarrassment, and if no other school has that problem, then what does that say about ASU?
    Perhaps, perhaps not. I can think of examples where coaches yelled at the fans over the PA for doing something stupid and they stopped. In any case, stop making excuses and just accept that the fan base you're a part of is one of the dumbest and most irresponsible in all of America. Of course, I'm pretty sure we all knew that already given the type of people who attend Appalachian.

    After the game, yes, but not during the game. ASU's fans made fools of themselves on national television, and they caused a dangerous situation where it's fortunate that no one got hurt. Of course, I would have had the officials call a 15 yard penalty every minute that those idiots remained on the sideline.
    I realize that you're trying to be clever, and this is really the best you can do in that respect, but nothing excuses acting like that. On national television people were talking about how out of control ASU's fanbase was and what an embarrassment they were. That's not something to be proud of.

    I went to ASU. I watched with about 15 people I went there with. We were all embarrassed.

    First one would have been ok, but after the third you should act like you have been there.

    I thought the cop was more out of line in going after him than the player.

    ok, you're just instigating. Imagine if ECU ever did something comparable. They would burn the eastern half of the state down.

    True enough. ECU's fanbase is plenty dumb and plenty irresponsible in its own right.
