I'm an Appstate Grad and a die hard State fan. I went to the game (as an ASU fan). I can honestly say that if ASU would have played State later in the season, they would of won easily. Chuck always prepared his teams better for the first game of the season than any other non FSU game of the year.

That being, this is loser talk. I admit it.

    Returning Starters

I think they have 17 starters back Paladin. The biggest two losses are Isenhour on the OL and Murrell on the DL. But the core is all back, including Edwards QB, Kevin Richardson RB, Kerry Brown OL, 3 out of the 4 DB's are back including Corey Lynch. So we should be alright for next year if the leaders all lead and the coaches keep this team focused. Coach Moore does a good job at getting the player to buy into the program. I do know that the first few spring practices went very well.

Thanks. I'm normally more read up on the So Con, but I've got a two month old baby at home, don't get as much reading, or anything else for that matter, done any more.

Just Be Glad You Didnt Get Them In 07

Wise, I'm not one of those "wait til next year fans", but you better count your blessings that Edwards wasnt the starter for the State game last year. The kid is incredible, and although we probably wont beat Michigan we will be at the Big House come September 1, and they will see a hardnosed, gritty, disciplined, well coached football team.

    Edwards 2006: Passing 167/274 2251yds 15 TD's
    Rushing 188 att 1153 yds 15 TD's

Hey, Edwards is great. He is a big time player in a rather small body. Last year with Amato coaching, anything could have happened.
