regardless.....there is still a talent gap. I like app and pull for them every weekend. My sister and brother-in-law both graduated from App. This is like the Tigers having a bad start to the season and everyone saying that they weren't a good team....yes they are a good team and they have the most disgusting lineup in the bigs. They stumbled out of the gate, just like Michigan did in 2007. If App plays Michigan 20 times, App wins MAYBE 2 games at most.

how quick we forget

there is more turning down on 1A scholarships to go to a better smaller school than u think.. look at davidson basketball.. they did the same thing.. theyve been a consistent basketball powerhouse in the smaller ranks always making the tourney.. they can compete consistently with the big boys.. just like app. just cause u are a 1A school doesnt mean ur better or have better talent... i mean app just beat up on the #1 draft pick for the nfl.. sure long is a great tackle.. but that says that apps defense is right there also and has just as good of players.. to say that app would finish at the bottom of a div 1 conference is ludicris.. we'll hang right with the tigers. and we'll see how much the talent gap is

 

Come on dude, ASU was 68th in Div 1AA teams in scoring defense and 75th in yards per game. They gave up 27 pts and 380 yards per game. They are nowhere near being "right there".

 

You know, I thought the win @ Michigan was just cool as hell last year. Great story.

But threads like this one make me hope LSU beats Appy St. 58-7 in September.

 

You're an idiot. If App played Michigan 20 times they'd be 1-19.

Also...what I posted were OFFERS from Div 1A schools. The App players in their most recent class received 3 1A offers. That means that out of all the 1A schools out there...only 3 teams thought 3 players were good enough. 2 of those were Marshall.

I've always rooted for App as my 1AA school in football...but you guys...not ALL of you...are fucking morons.

I'm going to be rooting for LSU this year. They'll win by 50.

 

I'm right there with you freakshow.....my sister and brother-in-law both graduated from App but they are not obnoxious and unrealistic. Both are huge App football fans, but they know that LSU is going to win by a minimum of 24 points. Congratulations to App for winning back to back to back national championships, but that success has turned their fans into Carolina-esque type people. A lot of them have become too cocky for their own good and a good ass whooping from LSU might shut this convo down for a while......GEAUX TIGERS!

 

Without Perriloux it's gonna be real interesting for an unseasoned backup for LSU to start out his first game. App will score a decent amount I think, but I'd be nervous if I was LSU starting a new QB who wasn't supposed to play this year

 

anyone want to take a bet.. ill give u LSU and they have to beat App by 24 since thats what everyone says is the minimum.. whats obnoxious about saying that app could hang with the big boys.. theyve hung with all the big boys theyve played the past few years..
