With all due respect hasbeens, I would say that animal and grain sacrfice was not a major tenant of Judaism. Yes, it is often mentioned in the OT, but I think that it is used more as a tithe (owing to these things being currency of sorts) rather than a core belief. And I think that Judaism becoming more casual and forgiving (which I think is an arguable point) does not impact their core beliefs either.

Yes, Christianity has changed tremendously - some for the better, some for the worse. BUT, the major core belief that God sent His Son to earth for the forgiveness of our sins is still unchanged. How different churches choose to portray the celebration of this act is what is different.

That is really what I am getting at here.

I seriously doubt it. Conception isn't really linked biologically to the pleasure aspect of sex. She may not have felt anything at all (until morning sickness kicked in and her hormones went wild ).
