    I wanted the Gruden thing to work. The NFL is better when the Raiders are good. They need some Al Davis angels(or ghosts) playing with them on the field.

    Gruden's best teams were well stocked with vets (including one with a historically great defense) a when it came time to rebuild in tampa you got the revolving door at QB the aging receiver show etc.

    I think McDermott is a brilliant DC, but he's set offensive football too far back to keep his head coaching job. That 2017 playoff light at the end of Buffalo's tunnel was just a freight train coming their way.
