So if you call someone a nigga and a fag in the same insult, what happens? Does the opposing coach have to decide which slur to accept? "You want the racial slur or the gay slur?" Will that coach face backlash for accepting one over the other? Or do they combine the two slurs into a 30 yard penalty? Can you have offsetting slurs? It certainly raises some logistical questions as well as moral questions.

I suppose the coach would take whichever slur was uttered for better field position, consequences be damned.

What if a player says nigga and his coach is black? Can the black coach overrule the officials if it save his team the 15 yards? "That nigga my nigga, it's all good nigga."

Also, there still appears to be no penalty for knocking your fiancé out cold in a fucking elevator.

Red Bryant is looking like a cap casualty in Seattle.

which makes me wonder, assuming we dont retain Kraken, how much will Gettleman dabble in free agency? I was thinking he'd mostly be concerned with rummaging through the bucket of 1-year deals again, without much thought of any other significant free agent activity, but who knows ...

ETA: Gross' decision is obviously a big bifurcation point in all of this, so we'll likely know a lot more after that
