Banner is an ass by most accounts, though. Strikes me as someone who got tired of being overlooked in Philly and was taking out on everyone in Cleveland. And getting rid of Lombardi, and whatever the fuck he was actually doing up there, is addition by subtraction.

Belichick is apparently going to bring Lombardi full circle and hire him as his little errand bitch.

Sydney Rice released 3 years after signing 5 year 41 million dollar contract and not living up to it at all. Wonder what dead money is left

Rice has been fragile, but at the right price (and with him being motivated) why not?

Those guys are available dirt cheap in free agency every year and WRs peak later than any skill position except QB, which is why I'm generally against the idea of drafting them with an early pick.

He could definitely be had for that 1 year/1 million type deals. I would be cool with it if LaFell gets too pricey.

I had just read this before coming here..

There was some more but the cut/paste stuff in android sucks.

Edit: it can look that way about Barner now no doubt, but we really don't know what/who was behind that pick, or if he'll continue to be totally unimpressive. It was sort of a head scratcher taking a rb in the first place for me.

    And OL

Kugbila is an unknown but probably nothing more than a backup.

My problem with the Kugbila pick was that I didn't even see him dominating small school cuckolds. Silatolu at least had some film where he was getting after it. Kugbila and Barner were picked based on measurables, which is hard to understand since it's not Gettleman's philosophy and background.

I had never heard of Kugbila let alone seen any film of him. Silatolu was a name a lot of people heard and was flying up boards as draft approached. Kugbila was never mentioned. Silatolu was also actually playing quite well before he went down with injury.

Barner pick was just really curious. Rivera wanted his little "satellite" Darren sproles type player and seems like they whiffed.
