    They gave him a five year contract, which is almost certainly a publicity stunt.

    Probably had to tack on more years to get anyone to bite. Kind of like how free agents used to get above market contracts to work in oakland.

    He's gotta keep his distance so he can slime his way back into the media after this ends. I'm betting Simmons misses him at the Pats circlejerks.

    Except that coach contracts are guaranteed as far as I know. Five years is a huge commitment to a guy with such a limited background and shows just how desperate the Browns were. It's fun to imagine Cleveland not being able to get a head coach before the season started.

    Yeah, they're still paying Shurmer and Chud. Apparently Haslam did quite well with his illicit business operations.

    You're right, other than occasional bonus for Super bowls and stuff
