We're not in win-now mode, but I am not sure we're in a full-on rebuild. I think that Canales and Morgan are determined to find out of Bryce can be a franchise quarterback this season, and then go from there. So defense is taking a back seat while we address the offensive line and receiving corps. It makes sense to me, and actually seems like a sound approach. The worst case would be to try and build a playoff team this year only to find out that QB is still a glaring need.

I guess I can take another losing season so long as we're able to move the ball well. And it would be a very Panthers thing if we look like dog shit on paper and win 8-9 games anyway. However, playing the NFC East and especially the AFC West is going to make that pretty difficult.

So San Diego is getting rid of a bunch of guys w 35 to 50 million dollar cap hits.

I guess they are gonna purge all the big money and start over.

Maybe they send Herbert to Chicago for number 1 pick and a 2nd rounder

Then they take Harrison number 1 and JJ the new QB at 5? Who knows

It is the month before the draft, so crazy thoughts abound

Houston no longer has a first round pick, they traded out to Minny.

Why would harbaugh trade away his good QB?

Also Herbert trade would give them a 108 million cap hit (-90 million in "savings")

    Just speculation.

If they traded Herbert and all his money, not sure where the cap it would go.

He will be stuck with an expensive QB and no players or, he starts over with money and draft picks and builds his own team
Not sure how Harbaughs mind works

So if Minny wants a QB that bad, maybe they send the 11 and 23rd pick to San Diego for Herbert?

Then Harbaugh can start off his tenure with 3 1st round picks. And for Herbert, they could probably pick up a player or two from Minny.

    Steelers making some strange moves

Pickett going to Eagles now, guess they put a lot of stock in Russ
We got the WR Johnson for much better than I thought we would.

Their fans have to be worried a bit

Donald feels like a guy that gets the itch back around Thanksgiving particularly if the rams are in the hunt.
