Turned around the 49ers offense in a hurry (peeps forget Alex Smith was what we all think of Darnold right now) and made them into contenders. He rubbed the FO/Owner the wrong way but given they didn't really get back on track until Baalke left....

 

I don't think Tepper has the stones to do that. Maybe the next coach GM combo does it the other way but Matt is in charge as much here as he as at college and he only has to kiss one booster's ass. And they were both short order cooks!

 

Jim Harbaugh went 44-19-1 with the 49ers, made three consecutive NFC Championships, and was one play away from winning a Super Bowl.



He's the only coach in football history to coach in the NFL playoffs and the College Football playoffs.



He's one of the best football coaches alive. Enough of this silly bullshit.

I'm here for Harbaugh going to the Raiders. I doubt he leaves Michigan, though.


Honestly, this fan base deserves Matt Rhule. He's the byproduct of lazy, sports talk analysis. People are just now getting around to the fact that he's never been a good at his craft, but it's too late. Same with Sam Darnold. Same with David Tepper, if you want to go back a few years. I know everyone hates this owner now, but there was a moment when he was The Golden Calf of Charlotte. I got banned from The Huddle for criticizing him too many times. We're all now realizing that his bullshit about analytics and process management is just the ramblings of an insane person, and I say this as someone who's become very pro-analytics over the last year. David Tepper doesn't have a plan for making this team better, and he doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about. Nothing about the construction of this team is data driven. If you took every Shannon Sharpe, Colin Cowherd, Stephen A. Smith hot take, threw them into a blender, took a big diarrhea dump into it and hit blend, you'd end up with Tepper's verison of an NFL franchise.

 

Understood, but do you think Tepper, after having spent tons of his money on a college coach, will do it again? He is not the great football mind as you mentioned. He only went after Rhule most likely, because others wanted him.
