    this is usually attributed to bobby beathard's influence in smarty marty's gm skills, and the belief that the future is now.

    he's not an astute evaluator of football talent though which makes these wheeling-and-dealings so dismal.

    nevermind, looks like that was covered. So I'll leave the other part, which was that those trades were stupid.
