Big win against Wichita State yesterday. Any chance in hell they get an At large bid?

They beat Vandy which beat Florida. That looks good on the resume but it won't be enough. To go dancing they need to win the Souther Conference Tournament.

They beat Virgina too - but even with the good record and nice wins they won't go unless they get the automatic bid.

They have only lost three times since Donte Minter became eligible. He makes them much better. 22 wins is solid. But as much as I would like to think that the three big non-conference wins and the 22+ wins is enough, I doubt it will be. The tournament is huge.

The MWC is going to get at least three in (UNLV, BYU, and Air Force). That's going to hurt them.

No, they don't get an at large bid. They have some nice wins, but they also have 3 Southern Conference losses to teams other than Davidson which will keep them out.

I don't think Davidson would get an at large bid either.

Davidson and App are in the same boat, they gotta win the tournament. I think the Southern Conference has gotten multiple teams in the dance 1 time in my memory. I may be wrong but maybe Tenn -Chattanooga and Davidson both got in years ago.

The only way Davidson might get a bid would be if they were to win out until the Conference finals and then lose a close game to App State. That would leave them with a 28-5 record I think, which might give them a chance. I doubt even that would get them an at large though.

App Lays A Egg in Tourney

App State laid a big time egg last night in the conference tourney. The opportunity was there but they couldnt get it done. C of C upset them in OT, and what a huge game for Dontae Draper. (36pts?) Maybe ASU will atleast get a home game for the NIT because the Big Dance talk is now over. Since App wont be going I actually hope C of C beats Davidson and Bobby Cremins returns to March Madness. I do not totally agree with the tourney site being in the same hometown of a participating team. If they are going to do that they need to let all teams host it at some point. I mean if we were playing in the Holmes Center last night, instead of Charleston SC I got a idea the outcome may have been different. It is so tough to beat a team three times in one season and App had beaten C of C twice this season. It was a tremendous season and nothing to be ashamed of, just let it be a learning experience for all. Congrats to Coach Fancher and his staff.
