Uh... Football, No. You have Miami, FSU, and as long as Beamer is there Va Tech but the rest are not consistant enough for that statement. SEC still has claim to that title. You need tradition, fan support, and consistancy of excellent performance.

As far as basketball, no problem with that statement. ACC is top dog.

But what other conference can match the ACC's 1,2 punch of Miami and FSU?

SEC Florida and ???? (Alabama is yesterdays news, Georgia?

Big Ten Michigan? When is the last tiome (before last year that the Big ten played for a national championship?

    Pac 10? Recent National championships?

Not getting into the arguement of best football conference, but what has FSU done lately to be considered head and shoulders above everyone else in the ACC? We've beaten them twice in a row. I think what we're gonna see at least for the first few years is UM at the head of the class and about a 4 way shoot out for the second BCS bid.

I think that is more attributed to the ACC playing better... NCSU included than it is to FSU's downfall... when you have A teams a few B teams and a lot of C teams the A team sticks out and is more noticable... now its a few A teams some B+ teams... and still a couple C teams... oh yeah and D as in Dook... but FSU isn't as big in that case... they'll be even more humbled when VT and UM get in
