AOL/Time Warner has put the Braves up for Sale

I like what I'm hearing out of McDowell though. He's already went to Kyle Davies and told him that he's not a finesse pitcher, he's a power pitcher, so he needs to throw that way. It would be nice to see some heat from a young Braves pitcher.

That has been the knock, if you can find one, on Mazzone. He doesn't let the young kids really hurl it. It's all about getting the corners like a Maddox. Some guys just can't do it, but they can challenge with their fastball.

 

Gotta agree, he can teach them control pitching and some of the finer aspects, but sometimes that isn't what best suited for that pitcher. I remember him doing that shit with Millwood for a few years.
