And the FACT is that the NFL disagrees with you. I already pointed out that NFL teams regularly take talented players who either underperformed or were misused in college. That doesn't happen with any FSU offensive players except the wide receivers and a few other less than notable exceptions. Meanwhile the Hurricanes are killing the Seminoles when it comes to having offensive players in the pros.

Just to reiterate, because I think the point got lost, it is interesting that by far the most successful FSU offensive position is exactly the one that Jeff Bowden has coached for the last 12 years.

If they are getting all of this talent then why are none of them getting national honors or getting drafted? Hell, a guy with a totally destroyed knee went in the first round.

Plus, I can't keep being on the same side of an argument as Collin. It's making me feel all icky and shit.

Miami has been RIGHT there with FSU in recruiting. Obviously Miami has a better weight training program. Better position coaches and better coordinators. There athletes are coming in and continueing to improve. FSU's are coming in and stagnating.

That's why you see people from Du U being drafted. They have put on tons of muscle, are faster, and know their assignments. The FSU guys don't seem to be getting better once they step on campus.

FSU has put more defensive players into the NFL than Miami, so obviously it's not a weight training issue.
#1) You thought Amato was actually a coordinator, so I don't even know why you're still arguing. That showed your ignorance right there. But as noted, coordinators do the game planning, while the position coaches do the instruction.

#2) I already pointed out that some of the position coaches are the same ones who were there back when they were producing offensive NFL players.

#3) If Jeff Bowden sucks so much, why is his position the one having the most success?
These days many freshmen, not only at Miami but around the country, are stepping in and being productive from day 1. It's not just that the FSU offensive players aren't continuing to develop, but that they appear to be overrated and less capable right from the start.

So...looks like Mark Richt's departure is all that's changed. The position coaches are there. The recruiting is there. Bobby Bowden is there...Mark Richt is gone.

Looks to me like that's all that's changed.

Unfortunately it is a fact of life that people of minimal intellect are only capable of grasping logic up to a certain point. Beyond that, it surpasses their understanding.

So...you are saying Richt's departure has seriously hurt the developement of FSU's players and program as a whole?

No, I'm saying the entire situation was explained sufficiently early on in this argument, and that it has not been resolved because you lack the mental capacity to grasp the points. As I said at the beginning, Richt was a good coordinator and a better one than Jeff Bowden, but the decline in offensive performance is primarily attributable to the fact that the players themselves just as aren't as good on that side of the ball as they used to be. There is nothing about Bowden's play-calling that should make the offense that inept.

Now, do you want to continue demonstrating your ignorance of college football, Mr. "Amato was a DC at FSU"?
