You are right, oh great one. Rivals.com...they employ over 300 recruiting analysts to cover the country...doesn't know anything compared to you. Even though FSU has had an AVERAGE recruiting class of 6.5 over the last 5 years means nothing. Even though they have recruited some of the top high school backs in the country means nothing. Even though they have been cleaning up with OL over the last several years means nothing.

FSU can't evaluate talent. And Rivals is just dishing out 4 and 5 stars because FSU offered them a scholarship. Has nothing to do with the video of the kids (they are available on the Rivals site if you pay...I do). Nothing to do with the fact that these kids are being wooed by every major program in the country.

If I was a head coach, I'd have you evaluate all of my players. You know so much!

vpkozel already explained this to you, and we hate each other, so he has no reason to support my position. The difference in our arguments is that I'm looking at actual results and you're looking at meaningless pages on the internet.

See...NO. It's not the same. FSU's players were highly rated because they were coveted by every powerhouse in the country. If these guys didn't go to FSU, they'd have been at Florida, Ohio State, Georgia, Auburn, LSU, etc...

You can see their film on Rivals. The recruits that FSU signed were some of the best in the country. There is no denying it.

 

And sucked there. You act like the top ranked recruits always end up being the best, when that's far from true. The fact is that the offensive players themselves are not performing well on the field at FSU, and that the NFL doesn't give a damn about any Seminole offensive player except the WRs. What does that tell you? You're relying on pieces of paper written by amateurs (and yes, the scouting services are just amateurs who ended up selling their rankings to gullible college football fanatics), while I'm talking about actual on-field performance and the opinions of NFL teams. You even know that you're wrong at this point, you just don't want to admit it.

 

What do you know? How many FSU games have you seen in the past 5 years?

 

I'm saying that these players are fast, strong, and kicked ass in high school. That's all a college has to go on when recruiting. FSU has taken the cream of the crop for years. There is no way that out of all of those players...they are all duds. FSU HAS the talent. They just don't use it. Maybe the players haven't been taught their assignments. Maybe they came in with big egos that weren't checked at the door. Maybe the coaching staff let them get lazy. I don't know. But the kids on their squad are top notch. No doubt about it.
