Anyone still wanting Spurrier here?

Wasn't too long ago we almost got Spurrier before Synder pulled out his big wallet and scooped him up. Worked out great for us as we have a great one now. Fox and De Rio are so much on the same page it's scarey. Still want Spurrier? Not me.

  2. Nor do I want his OVER-RATED defensive coordinator. Note to Marvin...your stock is dropping like an anchor...

How long until Ramsey gets his shot at QB?

About six days, from what I've heard.

Ditto about Spurrier AND Lewis. :D

Looks like some of the players, notabley Stephen Davis and Lavar Arrington, are questioning whether they want Spurrier and Lewis.

    >>But it may not be one that appeals to Spurrier. "If you run three times and punt, run three times and punt, the next thing you know, the first quarter is over with," he said.

That's no good. Last year, sure, Carolina didn't run enough. Also didn't really have good backs. Huntley could be spotty and his own team couldn't stand him.

Skins have Stephen Davis. Behind him they have Betts. Give 25 or 26 coordinators that lineup and two good offensive linemen and they'll produce 35 carries.

It's funny. I was fairly critical of some of Schottenheimer's moves. getting little bro and his son as key parts of the staff IMO weren't the way to go. The QB position and the defense weren't that well coached IMO. Jimmy Raye isn't a horribly great coordinator either.

But Schottenheimer himself? Fine coach. And despite having no quarterback at all, he managed .500. Now that he's got a good line, a decent back, and a young quarterback, he's winning.
