I'm headed to D.C. next week and it looks like the Orioles play the White Sox next Monday afternoon. I'm thinking seriously about heading over to catch the game. Where should I sit, and park, and eat, and go either before or after the game, etc. etc....

Camdens Yards is amazing. There is not a bad seat. I always sat directly behind second base in centerfield (under the scoreboard). but really any lower level seat is good and affordable. definitely take some time to walk the outfield sidewalk area between the warehouse and the seats and see where all the home runs have landed. The park really is great (good dogs too).

Before the game go to the harbor area and goto Phillips to get a crabcake sandwich. Its wonderful. If you like night clubs then the Power Plant Live area is for you. From Camden Yards walk down Pratt street toward Hard Rock Cafe. Once you get at the end of Hard Rock look left. You will see the sign to Power Plant Live. its like 8 bars and a comedy club in a 1 block area. I think $15 gets you the bar hopper pass. The Cajun restaurant/bar there has great jambalaya. As far as dinner goes the Phillips Buffet (in the same building as hooters) can't be beat but its about $27. Another good place is the Rusty Scupper. Its across the harbor from downtown at Federal Hill. It has the best view of the city and dang good food. Parking is terrible for games. The cheapest place in Baltimore to park is at the corner of Gay and Baltimore. its a deck thats about $5/hour (the ones on Camden St near the stadium can go up to $12/hour). If you are into nasty strippers and prostitution then Baltimore Street is the #1 place on the East Coast. It's called "the block" I walked down the block alone once...never again. ESPN Zone is a great place. I could spend all week there. I would avoid City Lights Seafood...its not as good as the other places.

Soory if this is disjointed but Baltimore is the greatest place ever and I am glad you are going to be able to enjoy all it has to offer.

I'm also going to see the Nats, who at least for the time being play in the worst real old park.

Go to Boogs BBQ behind right field. Easily one of my favorite current ball parks. I have been to 24 ML baseball parks
