NEWS AND NOTES:WR Peter Warrick spent Sunday night in Christ Hospital with a bruised lung after taking a shot over the middle Sunday in Carolina and is expected to be discharged Monday.

Warrick, who has yet to miss a game in his three NFL seasons, won’t practice Wednesday but may go Thursday in a bid to keep alive his streak that now stands at 45 games this Sunday against the Jaguars.

    Didn't really matter, did it?

My son and I went to the game.
Front row in corner of the south endzone, 50 bucks.
Very good game, only get to go to 1 or 2 a year, best game I've actually been too.

I would have to say, as I watched very closely, Peete threw the ball very well. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he's our future, but he did look very good on Sunday.

Did you notice, their corners and safeties were all over our receivers. Covered them very well. But, Peete made very good throws, and Moose and Smith mad good catches for once and didn't have the dropsies.

Our corners did not cover their receivers nearly as well, but because of the pressure (thank goodness) on Kitna, he didn't see them wide open many times.

I've never saw Weinke throw the ball that good, ever.
I've never seen Fasani come close.

And I feel we mighta sent Fasani in had we needed a QB draw or something, kinda bringing him in like the 3rd QB for Chicago last night, knowing Chandler was the 2nd.

If we don't get a decent vet QB, and draft a good one this year, I'm sure we'll keep Peete for next year to mentor and play if needed to win. Especially if he plays well the rest of year, win or lose, IMO.

and i guess when you go to the circus, your favorite part is watching the clowns do their thing.

and i thought that they were suppose to have a pourous secondary.

In the second half, yes, and that's why neither Weinke or Fasani should see the field. Thows aren't that hard, they just look that way compared to the others.

They play man a lot, we play 2 deep zone mostly. That's the basic difference. Easy throws intermediate, and they got beat deep several times. They do suck.

The thing Chicago did was risky. Once you go to your third string, I don't think you can go back to your first or second until the 4th QTR. And you announce that before the game. In that instance, Chandler was technically 3rd string, but they brought him inwhen Miller went down, so they couldn't go back to that other guy until the 4th.

I did not know it until game time. Peete got hurt briefly and went to the locker room. Our defense got on the field after a punt and Winky was warming up and warmed up off and on during the game. He probably would have went in, but due to the 2pt saftey, by the time we got the ball back, (commercial time outs and all) Peete was back on the sideline.

Looks like Yasinkskias (sp) articles payed off for Winky. One during the week and another one on game day... The 3 pages of "I'm not going to complain because I don't start articles" :D

I was a little shocked FOX did not bring Winky in with a little time left in the 4th Qtr. He even let Peete do the Kneel. Guess he didn't want a fumble. ;)
