Anyone else annoyed at the 'home cooking' comment on CBS?

That statement is much more offensive than the home cooking statement.

 

She wasnt watching the whole game with me...just happened to be in the room when that happened.

 

I guess you've already forgotten about the steroids thing. Like others watching on TV, I immediately knew they made a mistake so it was water off a ducks back to me. Plus, i do recall them trying to explain their error pretty quickly when they had figured it out. It wasnt 15-30 minutes later. I see no reason for them to continually apologise, just get on with calling the game. Its not like the clock guys (NFL wide) never squeese an extra second for their home teams, it does happen once and awhile. So since they wrongly observed an extra 7 seconds im not surprised they mentioned something about that, even if it was in error.

 

He did give Stewart a Duck shout out, just sayin.

 

It was bad announcing, easily ranking alongside Kornheiser. They were pronouncing Moose's name as Mohammed, emphasizing the O. Stuff like that and them ignorantly and loudly ranting about the clock things, is definitely annoying.

In general CBS's crew of AFC announcers don't always know the NFC teams as well as they should either, also annoying.

Enberg gets some style points for his technique of starting softly and bringing up the volume if the play turns out to be big. Fouts knows QB play and the passing game, to his credit, but I hope he doesn't go off like that too much.

Speaking of bad sports television, I was watching ESPN this morning and is there a bigger buffoon than Skip Bayless?

 

Paula Deen is annoying as hell.
