Thank god someone else brought up the Clash. They were great. Don't get me wrong I like the Stones a lot but I'm sorry what have they done lately that was worth a shit? Enough is enough. Seeing 60 year olds run around is embarrassing. Same goes for the Who. They are one of my top three bands of all time but no way in hell I would want to see them on tour again sans John Entwhistle (sp). For that matter Metallica last album or two sucked ass and U2 has gone hollywood for the last 2 albums.

the Stones are good. Their time's just dated, a lot more than, say, Zeppelin - who really brought a ton of shit up to date but are still timeless. That they've worn it out like an old whore shouldn't take away from what they did then, but at some point it really does start to take away from the overall work.
I'd have to guess that Zep probably would, too, if they'd not lost Bonham.

The Eagles were good for what they were good for. Always liked Joe Walsh out of any of them, partly because he's totally crazy, and partly because he didn't put bubblegum out the first chance he got.

The thing that fucking bugs me so bad is that someone brought out the Beatles and the Stones in a discussion of Journey v/s the Eagles. Seriously - are you fucking kidding?
I bet some of you fuckers even like Huey Lewis.

Why you badmouthing Huey? What's wrong with Huey? I mean, as far as I know he ain't happening anymore, but, when he was he was OK. At least he knew when to quit.

I thought Huey's last album was his best when he was more jazzy and less pop.
