I don't think so. From what I understand he is a player and a leader. The comparisons to Jobey don't stop and I have no problem having another Jobey.

In any case, he'll carry us further than Grier would.

I am not saying that Greir is better than Plav nor am I banking on anything. I am just pointing out the double standards of Lefty, he rips VG for being one dimensional, yet I bet you $100 that Plav can't play a lick of D because he is a bad athlete, which makes him a one dimensional player. It would be nice to see a player that can stop 10 points a game as well as score them.

get ready everyone, MK is here, he will begin arguing that the sky is red shortly.

Do we really have to make decisions about who can/can't help this team already ???

I would prefer to wait until AT LEAST the 1st exhibition game vs. the Latvians (remember the team with 9 guys named Arturs and 1 guy named Johnny) is over.

Plavich has been named a captain. Your damn right I'll have higher expectations for him. But until Lutz holds his 1st practice, I'm going to have to wait on making assumptions on the others.

If {insert name here} busts a move on Deon Grant in the summer leagues..............that's great.

Just remember there once was a guy named Kevin who I heard frequent positive stories about from practices and pickup games. However, I never saw the same ability shown when it mattered.

By the way, the sky in NOT red. It is burnt orange.

Why is everyone busting on Vince? Damn, he's just 18 or 19, and the best athlete on the team. Does he have a complete game? No. Can he shoot? No. Has he figured the game of bball out yet? No. He really needs to mature (both on and off the court), but IF he ever does he will be something to see. I can say one thing, though...despite all the negatives I and everyone else has mentioned, the kid plays his heart out when he's on the court. Thats more than I can say for a lot of our players.

I did not even read the posts, so I have no idea who thinks what, but Grier is a player, he is a slasher, a scorer he doesn't need a good jumper.

He has heart and i will take that anytime

No, no, no Lefter say it ain't so! Don't turn back now! Come on over and play with the cool kids! Don't let that other guy change your mind! Let it all hang out! Speak your mind baby! This is America by Venus and that means you have the right to call out a Niner player!

Now, please tell. If your not down on Vincent's on court skills, you must be down on his off court aptitude. What happened?

Did he get caught sipping grandma's cough medicine?

Maybe he sucker punched another player?

Is he hanging out in bars with Mr. Brown again?

Tell me he didn't call one of the coaches the C word?

Maybe his grades aren't up to snuff?

C'mon Lefter, we want tell Coach you told. You know something, you just ain't telling. That's not fair! Can we have LarryD ban him? Take the other guy and NA with you Lefter! You tease you.

MK, I know that even you are not arrogant enough to predict that a guy who has not played game one as a Niner will do more for this team that I guy we barely got a glimpse of last year.

As for those who say VG has no heart...he popped Calvin in the head pretty good and that takes balls. Guys like that usually have heart or are just stupid. I think we will find out this season that he has heart.

Lefty, I dont get it, I admit. Please explain it to me...

If you're talking about leadership qualities, I'm sure Plavich has Grier beat there. Busting your teammates head before a game usually isnt the sign of a quality leader (although Lutz shoulda busted heads earlier in the season, just not physically:D) . But, Plavich is older and more mature. Maybe Plavich will surprise me, I've never seen him play, but it sounds like he will do little more than be a leader in the locker room and shoot the long ball.
