Yeah, I liked the 2100's too. They were my first choice but everytime I put on Kayano's they were heaven. They're better than the Air Max's I had. I have really flat feet so any type of cushion helps me out that much more.

Asics just fit my feet well. I havent run in anything else since I was in HS.

One thing - make sure that you go with what is comfortable for your running style. A while ago, I let the guy at Charlotte Running (or whatever it is on Park Rd.) talk me into getting a size larger than I normally wore because he swore that was the right thing to do. I ended up getting shin splints. :thud:

Asics do feel great. The Kayanos/Gt2100 are better than anything Nike or Reebok has put out there for running. I can't say anything about NB b/c I haven't really tried any of their running shoes on.

I've just started running (About 15 miles a week at this point - training for a marathon next january) and I'm running in New Balance 1060's. Recommended to me by a couple different folks and I love them. I'm a big boy though (265lbs) and the cushioning is what I really love about them. I'm a bit of an over pronator, and they help with that too.

Anyone know of a list of races in the area this coming spring/summer? I'm sure there are a ton of 5 and 10k's, but I don't know whn/where.

You know they expect you to do that in one day, right? Get out while you can.
