    I am on that Z pack thing for the next few day. I have always heard you should not drink alcohol with antibiotics. Is this true?

    some antibiotics are inactivated by alcohol. I'm not sure it Zithromax is one of them, but I don't think so. It's only a 5 day treament. Better safe than sorry.

    You also know that antacids (Zantac, Tums, Maalox, Pepcid etc....) will inactivate Zithromax- right? Don't take antacids within 2 hours either way of your dose.
