I was completely disappointed with his play. He had 2 catchable, one perfect, passes dropped.

He looked great in the mini camps, catching all the hard balls. I was surprised.

he also hasn't really played much in game at ALL... you can't go from only practicing and never playing to just being thrown in as the #3 and expect to put up big numbers... yes I know you're supposed to be ready, but I pretty much consider this guy still at Rookie status and until he's been around a year or 2 that's gonna happen

This guy is a professional football player and is getting paid to make those catches. IMO, forget the excuses - he didn't make the plays he has to make. At the NFL level - you HAVE to make those catches!! This isn't the first time this guy has dropped passes. I'm not sure Anthony is consistent enough to play in the NFL. Sorry, but I truely believe that.

Yep. He should've made those catches. He's getting a check today for dropping balls.

even though jerry rie dropped two yesterday, i'm with you guys. is that really the best the panthers have? if there aren't two new starter-quality receivers on the roster next year, something's wrong.

I was actually thinking the same thing on Sunday watching that game. We need 2 STARTING caliber WRs on this team. Not 1!

I personally would draft one in rd1 next year - currently targeting Andre Johnson in mid-round 1.

I would target a vet cornerback in FA as well. We need depth there badly!

Everyone drops passes, just as Larry said, Rice dropped some yesterday as well. However, dropped passes can be accepted when you have a history of producing. But when they are the first two of your career, it isn't good. Sometimes you don't get a 2nd chance. Hopefully if Bright does, he will make the catch next time.

When you are that small, and that inexperienced, that's two strikes on you already. This guy is an NFL Europe type guy, a developmental guy who wouldn't make many rosters. He has one strong facet, he's fast. He's the D. Craig of Wide Recievers.

I'm really not in a position to persecute Bright for dropping a pass, especially after I dropped a TD pass during the flag football game.:(

I can say FROM EXPERIENCE it happens to the best of us.:D

Besides the turnovers are what cost us the game. Even if Peete hadn't thrown that interception we could have punted and the D would have been protecting a lead, with better field position.
