Anthony Bright apparently takes back his "I forgave him" from Smith.

He was on both the Texans and the Falcons and couldn't hang on.

It depends on how many cents he wants. Because Smith didn't cost him any career. Like I said before he was trying to hang on to a roster spot with a team that was weak at WR. So he's no Jerry Rice. If he wants to suit Smith for 6 figures I'll turn my head, but something keeps telling me it'll be a 7 figure number and he doesn't deserve that, because neither player was making that when the incident happened, and he's only doing it now since Smith got a new paycheck.

yeah he'll get a little pocket change for the hit. The part that his career was effected will get tossed out. He is just looking to blame someone for his lack of talent

Right or wrong no one can attack another person and cause that much injury with immunity. Smith will pay and I hope alot. He was wrong and needs to pat for it. Maybe he will learn.

    And so does OJ

The timing is the only thing hard to figure. What was this 2 years ago? Where was Brights pain and anguish then? Why didn't he press charges and seek money after it happened? Sure he is entitled to money for the action but the fact he waited this long is fishey at best.

Smith had to know this was going to come eventually. They all did. Now it's up to the Panthers & Steve Smith to get this thing put away quickly.

    On a personal note:

    Dear Mr Bright
On behalf on the entire Panther fan nation, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for not being a distraction during the Super Bowl run and also for not waiting until the Panthers began their defense of the NFC Champion crown.

Steve might go off on Bright again for this shit :nono:

But seriously, they should have already made some kind of deal. It's only right. Had Bright not needed hospitalization there wouldn't be much fallout.

The only part I take issue with is ruining his career. He absolutely had pain and suffering from a VERY WRONG incident, but he was on the PRACTICE SQUAD here. I remember he made some spectacular catches but at other times dropped stuff right in his lap. I just don't know that you can say with any certainty that his injuries had anything to do with not being signed somewhere.
