While we are talking about signing Emmitt for a year hows about Neil O'Donnell?

"Titans | O’Donnell Could Be Gone - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
6:27 PT: The Tennessean reports the Tennessee Titans are going to have to decide if they want to retain backup QB Neil O'Donnell or if they want to promote No. 3 QB Billy Volek up a spot. O'Donnell is set to count $1.253 million against the salary cap next season and is due a $250,000 roster bonus in March. He will most likely have to re-do his deal in order to remain with the team."

How would you guys feel about having O’Donnell take over the Peete-role? That vastly superior TD/Int ratio makes him worth considering IMO. He has also got to be fresher than Peete and he might just make it through the season without something falling off. O’Donnell and Detmer could mentor Boller or St Pierre or whatever rook we pick. We could sign all three of those guys for MUCH less than Stewart (or Plummer), and without the baggage and additional turnovers.

I think he would be a good one to bring in. Everytime he has had to play for McNabb in the last few years he's looked Sharp. Definately not the answer to our problems but woulc give us a season or 2 until the rookie is ready(assuming we draft a QB on day one)

I'd rather try for Flutie if we're going the "old guy" route

We could do worse than O'Donnell.

My bad! I had just taken an Ambien and was just about out of it. McNair not McNabb of course.

Yeah, I think O'Donnell would be a decent upgrade, but for the love of all that is beautiful in this world, NO DETMERS!!!!
