The movie the guy made Arnold watch in this very special episode of Different Strokes:

    #114. The Bicycle Man (Part 1) (02/05/83 - #516)

Unaware that he's being lured into the carefully crafted trap of a child molester, Arnold eagerly agrees to perform a simple task in return for an overly generous reward from a "friendly" neighborhood merchant.

Cast: Conrad Bain, Gary Coleman, Todd Bridges, and Dana Plato

Guest Stars: Gordon Jump as Mr. Horton and Shavar Ross as Dudley

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    #115. The Bicycle Man (Part 2) (02/12/83 - #517)

Arnold and Dudley's "friendship" with a local merchant reaches a dangerous turning point when, unbeknownst to the boys, the man, who is actually a child molester, is about to make his move.

Cast: Conrad Bain, Gary Coleman, Todd Bridges, and Dana Plato

Guest Stars: Gordon Jump as Mr. Horton, Shavar Ross as Dudley, Le Tari as Ted Ramsey, and Brad Trumbull as Detective Simpson

Recorded Lion Witch and Wardrobe off of HBO to show to my 5 year old....I'm talking about the old version.

It was so aged. It wasn't even watchable. Can't believe I thought that movie kicked ass.

dang, i used to live for animated flicks. i was a big bakshi fan, but now i see his stuff and i'm a little less impressed (perhaps because i know how he rotoscoped most of the realistic stuff).

pixar does great work. they're all great, but nemo might be my fav. my friend is co-directing the next one (ratatouille) so i'm really jazzed to see that.

aladin was really good, but i can't say i've seen most of the recent disney animated flicks (that weren't done by pixar).

shrek was a lot better than i thought it would be. the character design in the first one is a little weak, but they did a better job in the 2nd (human shrek looks more interesting that ogre shrek, for example).

i've generally stated away from the "off brand" cgi stuff. shark tale was AWFUL. madagascar was pretty good, tho. don't think i've seen any of the other ones (chicken little, over the hedge, etc).

one animated flick i'm DYING to see again is called "grendel, grendel, grendel". saw it high school and i remember it being really cool. tells the story of beowolf from grendel's point of view in a very minimalist aesthetic. peter ustinov does some (if not all) the voices, if i recall...

I thought the original Lion Witch was awesome too, so your not alone there.

Robin Hood was a favorite as a kid too.
