Once again it is starting to slide. Now at .279 lowest of any of the Braves starters.Looks like he is going to be close to his .268 career average by the end of the season.

It's a good thing this guy has a glove because I know they are not paying him 12.5 million a season to hit .268 year in and year out.

he is still very young and has the tools to improve: speed, power, arm. I agree a 268 avg and 12 million don't jive, but they signed him with those existing career numbers.

he goes thru his times where he swings at everything thrown at him. for the most part, he is a much more disciplined hitter this year than in years past. lets not forget to mention his career best HR #'s he's putting up this year, and triple digit RBI's. theres more to him than just the glove. when he gets that average up he'll be a 5-tool guy.

I hope you are talking about his glove. He and Edmonds are two good ones in the NL with the glove.Tori Hunter is hard to beat in the AL.

Andrew's batting average is now .272 and continuing to drop as he gets closer to his .268 career average.

33 homeruns and 102 RBIs and the best glove in the field.

I'll take that batting average along with the rest of that any day.

He rates behind Richie Sexson in about all catergories except salary.Andrew has a big advantage in that catergory.

Sexson is hitting .268 which equals Andrews lifetime average.

    Sexson has 38 HRS and 108 RBI's.

Andrew has 4 SB and Sexson has 2 SB.As you can see neither has any speed.

Now to where Andrew has the big advantage:Salary

    Andrew 12.5 million per season.
    Sexson 5.1 million per season.

Is there anyone else in the majors making 12.5 million or more with a lifetime batting average of .268?
