Not really about directing or writing...but important either way...

While working at Wal_mart during my high school years, I found that I had a knack for arranging things for display that made them look really good even if they were just cheap shit made in taiwan or Ohio. And after that, I left that small town to find that I could do the same with buildings as in walls, spaces, etc. So when I took a job building architectural models while in college, I combined several mindsets and have been doing it for 4.5 years. Last year, we had a guy call us from Wilmington to ask if we would be willing to work on a project that they were doing and my boss turned him down because they wanted one of us to come out there during the production of the set and all the small scael shit they needed. I was almost furious. I thought it would have been a great opportunity because I have always found miniatures for film fascinating. I mean, the Japanese perfected it. At least with the technology that they had. AND THEN CAME STAR WARS!. While I'm not too partial to the story lines, the sets are enough to make a guy like me cream his pants. And now with computers, they have almost put guys like us out of business in the entertainment industry. But I think it still would be a really fun thing to do. Somedays I just don't understand the little Chinaman I work for. I just don't get it.

Sadic, UNCW just added this program. They used to have a minor in film studies under their creative writing ba. It was so popular they added a full fledged film skool. It also has a film group you can join. Screen Gem studios is near by and I heard you get to hang out their a lot if you can get into this group.

Personally, I never wanted to be famous, nor an actor, or really a director. I am just sick of all the crap out there right now and watching this useless human beings make tons of money. I can't say i'm the next big thing, but my ideas will stand against anyone else. My problem is I'm not the greatest writer. I would like to expand my writing technique. But the saying is screenwriters are failed novelists, which suits me just fine.
