    Anyone planning on seeing this?

Horror movies like this tend to scare the crap out of me, but I am intrigued at how well this one is done compared to the original.

From what I have read this one is much gorrier.

I was tempted to pickup the box set that came out a couple weeks back, but never did. The wifes, never seen it, so we'll have to rent it I guess.

What is in the box set? I saw a trailer the other day for a movie about witchcraft starring Kate Hudson. It looked really good

Box set contains the original three movies remastered and re-released. It was sold for $29.95 I think on the street date.

i first read the book in '79, yes it was that long ago. i found the book to be addictive reading. none of the movies to date have lived up to the writing. maybe this current one, i dunno.

I very seriously doubt the new one will live up to the book. In fact I would venture to say would think the movie is based loosley on the book if what I read was true.

Seems like very few movies live up to the book. Thats one reason to stop reading them

Does anyone remember the first movie? Kinda short turn around for a remake.
