    it was a piece of shit, i thought. barely watchable. looks like they knew it was a load and put in a few big names to get folks out to see the thing.

    i love dark comedies, but this one failed horribly. it was empty of meaning and too overdone.

    The book was a hell of a lot better than the movie (in my opinion). I know people always tend to say that - but the book captured the dark humour - and the freaky elements in such a classic way. Well worth a read. :)

    i actually read that the book was pretty vapid, too.

    folks wondered why even bother making a movie off such a worthless book. just what i heard. if the movie was anything like the book -- i agree.
