i loved when that girl cleard the bar with her bad pipes.

 

Unfortunately, I was watching this because my fiancee was on my lap and it wasn't worth getting up from.

The guy with the vintage fetish, he was decent. There's just so much from that catalog to take and do well with.
Most of the others, it just seemed like they were people who had decent voices who could oversing with inflection. I fucking hate that kind of singing.
The rest either didn't have any vocal control, breath support, tone, or the simple ability to hear and tune their own voices, or all of the above.
I thought that chick with the scooter really just did't have any power. Good voice. But no power. You gotta be able to belt that silly shit, or else you'll have no way to oversing the same Stevie Wonder songs that everyone is damned determined to ruin for us all.

I vow to never watch this shit again if I can help it. But hey, I even watched the Bette Midler show once. I was too polite to leave the house and too wide awake to pretend like I needed to get home.

 

i could not sit through the live show without pissing my pants. these people kill me. i almost expect dukey to be singing on there next.

I've got to believe that a lot of those really bad ones are fake. There is no way that some of those people really think they are good. For instance, I forget which night it was but there was an oriental guy who came on barking out some military-like commands and then salutes. He then does a Japanese rap for his audition. Come on! If you actually wanted to get on the show, you would have to know that doing a Japanese rap is not going to get it done.

They are just too bad to be real.

damn, peeps, and i thought atlanta sucked! houston reeked! i hope los angeles and frisco come thru. if not, they ought to come to denver. lol we have a few dufuses here, tho. out-of-staters, mostly californians! (heehee jesskidding)

i really think these people think they can sing! man, so many people are so out of touch...not to mention out of honest friends or family!

this is the third season of this show. dont these people watch this show? they are looking for singers and then some! at the very least someone who can sing in tune! also, an interpretation that is legit, if not original!

does it make anyone of you wonder if the common american is out of touch and/or stupid?

anyhoo...they are going to los angeles next week. then frisco. oh man, i hope these shows will be worth watching. later when the weeding is done, it will be ho-hum!

larry, i did like that one who sang unchained melody! and that redhead dude who did some retro stuff. they were promising. but i am afraid they might eventually get weeded out. the not-so-good ones seemed good in houston bec it was slim pickins there!

gosh, i hope this show is not some b/s set up to promote a particular person who they already know will win at the end of the season! eeeeks.

 

oh yeah. i think you got it there, brain. the whole city of houston was a "plant" then.
