I just spoke to a former Panther employee who sold PSL's and she told me that last year they were doing a fund raiser for some charity and they sold autographed sports paraphenalia. She is a a State alum and got some items from them. An autographed helmet from Amato brought in $345 and a signed jersey from Sendek brought in $45. :ylsuper:

I thought it was funny because the state fans around here seem to think that Sendek is great and deserves a lifetime contract.

The guy has done a helluva job. Oh yea he could have took some shortcuts, took some "marginal" students......sold his soul if you will and probably speeded up the processfor some of you State fans that well don't give a damn how its done...... just that its done.(he didn't exactly inherit the 92 Blue Devils) Jimmy V seems be what Herb is measured by. Well I remember some real suck ass performances by his teams.......and that was with guys like Washburn, Shackleford, and the likes.Lifetime contract???? Don't know where that came from because if you read these boards you would swear Herb is the anti christ. Well heres one pack fan who's not ready to go back to the days of having channel 3 camped out down there waiting on the next story. Thanks Herb for doing it the right way. when it might have been easier to go the easy route. Its going to make getting to the top all the much better. Sweet 16 this year. Who knows from here.

As for Amato not doing shit......Well Thats another period I don't care to go back to. 77-17,56-3 48-0. He is COMPETITIVE in EVERY game. Thats all I ask. The bounces will go his way one day(Possibly this year) then there will be crow for everyone
