I'm thinking Amare Stoudemire has to be the most underrated player in the NBA. That 50 point game he had a couple days ago was absolutely incredible. When people talk about the best players in the NBA, the same 5 or 6 names come up over and over, but Stoudemire usually isnt mentioned. The guy is averaging 26 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, a steal and 2 assists per game. Also, his field goal percentage is at 60 percent right now. I say Stoudemire is the best player in the NBA, if I was starting a team up right now and could choose any player to base my team around, he would be the one.

hes just now turning into a stud. hes been productive since he came out of HS....but I also think he benefiting BIG TIME by having Steve Nash as his point guard. have you seen how many of his shot are dunks in transition? I dont think he is top 5 or 6 by any means. Antawn Jamison had back to back 50 pt. games once and I dont put him in that category.

you make a good point about him having Nash on the team. TONS of his points come from dunks with the assist from Nash. the Suns have a hell of a team this year

I don't see anyone stopping the Suns, except for Doug Christie's wife.

yeah, he really is a monster. if he can get a good, consistent outside shot, he'll be totally unstoppable as a scorer.

but to be considered really great, you have to make your teammates better. i don't really see that in him yet. sure, he'll get people open looks because he demands attention on the defensive end, but he's only dishing out 1.5 assists per game. figure that he's probably shooting 20 times a game (16.3 FGA + 3 or 4 that he's fouled on) -- that's pretty one dimensional. and it's not like the suns aren't a good shooting team.

duncan, garnett, nowitzki, gasol, shaq -- these guys have much better assist numbers.

    Jermaine O'neal scored 55 tonight.

The Suns will be stopped by the Spurs.

    :scared2: Wow! That is solid.
The Spurs don't suck, but I don't think they beat the Suns. Nash has them rolling like you on an early summer afternoon in Wilkesboro.
