It's a simple plan but I'll break it down

A cheap rookie qb is nice but being a loser to get there means you stick all that potential into a shitty situation. Look at the jags.

So you do this crazy thing the bills, chiefs, 49ers, and bucs have done. You build a talented team that can elevate your average qbs into to winners then you take the risk on a big trade up/free agent signing. Will you miss? Yes. they're the broncos and colts it happens. The 49ers missed huge and were saved by a dumb luck find with the drafts last pick.

But before we can get there we have to eat shit for a bit to get the high picks to get the pieces in place. We have to hire a football coach not a sales pitch. We need a gm with a vision and not a compulsion to buy their way out of trouble. And we need at least 15 more ticketed events per year plus a billion dollars in stadium upgrades.

So basically draft defensive line unless there is a truly special qb there.

Actually fucking rebuild the team, but Tepper will never sign off on that, so there's no point in even thinking about QBs.

Whichever QB comes after Young will still be stuff with a roster of shitty, expensive vets and draft busts.

Maybe we can sell our #1 pick for 3 first round picks

There is only one team stupid enough to do that.

Build the best defensive juggernaut we can, then worry about the offense

Build the Oline and Dline, then draft a good game manager in the 3rd or 4th round.

Without a semi decent offense won't the defense stay on the field way too long and be gassed by the time the 4th quarter rolls around?
