I should have said he "could" become one of the greatest players of all time. Still early in his career but so far he is getting it done. Besides everyone knows that Mike Schmidt is the best of all time ;)

I'd be leery of calling anyone who's made his hay during the 'roid era as potentially one of the greatest. let's see how he does over the next four years.

Listen bowel obstruction, NO ONE is saying that Pujols is already one of the best ever. NO ONE is saying that he's guaranteed to be the best ever. In fact, if you were capable of actually reading sentences and comprehending them, you might have noticed that I already commented about how four great years don't necessarily guarantee anything, or how I said that injuries and/or a decline could rob him of the chance to be one of the greatest ever.

The freaking point is that you are incapable of just admitting that you overreacted to PP's statement and made a complete @$$ of yourself by refusing to admit that what Pujols has done so early in his career at such a young age is extraordinary. It's not "good" or even "very good," it's amazing. You haven't accepted that once, and that's all I'm asking, but you are totally incapable of endorsing that obvious truth because it would mean tacitly admitting that you made a fool of yourself by pretending Pujols has been no different than other stars.

I didn't. It's been in Baseball America, similar publications, and repeated on sports programming. They were acknowledging what everyone else in the world except you can admit - that the start to Pujols' career has been extraordinary.

    To repeat:
NO ONE IS ASKING YOU TO AGREE THAT PUJOLS HAS A SIGNIFICANT CHANCE TO BE THE GREATEST HITTER EVER.

But the problem is that you're treating people who do think that as if they're crazy, when you're the one who can't admit that a player only comparable to Ted Williams is something very special.

I predict that Roseanne will not be singing the National Anthem before any MLB game this season.
