No I won't be a homer this time and pick my Phillies

    AL West

    1. Angels - Top to bottom best team in league
    2. A's - even after trading Mulder and Hudson
    3. Rangers - Nice bats but crap Starting pitching
    4. Seattle - If Moyer were my staff ace I'd quit

    AL Central
    1. Twins Nice 1-2 in SP of Santana and Radke and under rated offensive team
    2. Indians - Young but talented. They will surprise
    3. White Sox -I still like Buerle and Garcia and Konerko was white hot second half of season
    4. Tigers - Getting better one piece at a time
    5. Royals - Reason number one for contraction. Cheap owner

    AL East
    1. NY Yankees - ReBuilt Pitching staff which is what let them down
    2. Boston - Although their the "Daddy" Losing Pedro and replacing him with Clement isn't getting it done. Although it's hard to find a hole in the lineup
    3. Orioles- See Detroit. Rebuilding one player at a time. Note Sammy still sucks
    4. Toronto - I hate Canadian Baseball
    5. Tampa Bay - Smart to sign Crawford to 6 year deal, but I bet they trade him to NY Yankees within 2 years

    NL West
    1. Padres - Best balance of hitting and pitching in this weak division. Break out the brown and yellow uni's!
    2. SF Giants - Old team with one great SP and RP and a collection of creaking bats
    3. LA Dodgers - Any team that has Derek Lowe as it's best pitcher is in for trouble
    4. Arizona - You could do worse than Ortiz and Vazquez as 1-2 in the rotation
    5. Rockies - I bet Helton would love to get out of Colorado. He is too good to decay in Denver

    NL Central
    1. St Louis - Top to bottom best team in baseball IMO. I'd cut a nut off to be Pujols. He is going to be the greatest to ever play the game
    2. Chicago - If Wood and Prior can win 30 games between them they will be the wild card team
    3. Astros - Third place by default. This team could drop seriously if it weren't for being in same division with Reds and Brewers
    4. Milwaukee - Sheets is a man but other than Overbay and Lee who will do anything in the field?
    5. Pittsburgh - Thats right the Buckos won't finish last due in part to Kip Wells and Josh Fogg winning 25 games between them
    6. Cincinnati - The clock is already ticking on Ken Griffeys next hamstring injury. Pete Wilson and Eric Milton suck

    NL East
    1. Florida Marlins - Will play the Cardinals in the NLCS and will go down as one of the best. Their line up is nasty with Pierre, Castillo starting things up and Delgado, Lowell and Cabrera driving in 100+ RBIs each
    2. Braves - I love Smoltz and Hudson and Kolb as a closer but I am not sold on the Braves bats.
    3. Phillies - As good as a 3-5 in the batting order as anyone in baseball. Having Loftin in the 2 spot will increase a offense that scored a bucket of runs even better. The big key is how Randy Wolf comes back (has been solid in spring) and Wagner in the pin. Could flip flop the Braves, Phils or Fish in any order easily. Comes down to bad timed injury
    4. NY Mets - Signed the best free agent player in Beltran and pitcher in punkass Pedro, but any team with Tom Glavine still sucks ass IMO
    5. Washington Nationals - I'm glad to have another MLB team within 6 hour drive. Expectations are low but with a new owner and a farm system that does produce players who knows

Just my opinion, I could be wrong ;) GO PHILLIES

Twins, and then Indians, C.W.Sox and Tigers are within 5 games of each other, then My Royals a distant last

Yanks, Red Socks, Orioles, TB, Toronto

Padres, then Giants, Dodgers and Zona are a toss up and The Rockies stink

St. Louis, Chicago, Houston, Milwakee, Pitts, Cinci

    Braves, Florida, Mets, Phili, Nats.

Florida & Boston are my wild cards.

St.Louis & The Angels are my World Series teams.

    Angels win

The teams I have underlined are going to be fun to watch, they are young and are very good teams that maybe in a year or maybe two will be on top if they can keep moving in the right direction.

about Puljos? Yes. IMO he is the real deal. Power, RBI's average... I would love to build a team around him, more so than ARod. He just turned 25 and already has 160 HRs and 504 RBIs in 3 years along with a .333 lifetime batting average

I'm just gonna do the East because its the main division I follow.
    1. Atlanta - Like I said last year NEVER count out the Braves. Expect either Jordan or Mondesi to be revived from the dead. I'm not sure which, but I'm leaning towards Mondesi. Andruw Jones will get serious consideration as this years NL MVP. And Andy Marte will end up seeing major league action before the season is over due to someone being hurt, and he won;t see Minor league ball again unless he buys a ticket.

    2. Florida - Young and will struggle in spots. Delgado will prove to be a HUGE asset for them.

    3. NY Mets - They have a damn good team, but lack of relief pitching will cripple them.

    4. Philadelphia - Could seriously be ranked a little higher than where I have them, but you know its a bad omen when even Paul doesn't pick them to finish first.

    5. Washington - Even though they aren't an expansion team expect them to play like them for a couple years. Having their payroll stripped while looking for a home hurt them BAD.

Just trying to put on a happy face. The Phils have some questions in the pitching staff what with Wolf and Wagner coming off of injury and Lieber switching leagues (formally in NL with Cubs and did well). I really don't see anyone beating the Fish this year. Their bats with Delgado, Cabrerra, Lowell hitting behind Pierre and Castillo will be exciting. My only wuestion with them is Moto closing. SHould be good anyway. Going to NYC in 2 weeks and seeing the Mets play either the Fish or the Stros. I fucking hate the Mets. Other than Booby Cox whats not to like about the Braves.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't think Pujols is all that. All good players have a 4-5 year run. He's 25 now, if he's still going at this rate at age 30, than maybe he will be one of the all-time greats.
